Here it is! As mentioned in a previous post, here is my abandoned comic, The Intergalactic Journey of RX. Initially, I felt apprehensive to post anything from this comic, but weirdly I’m proud of it. The comic didn’t develop the way I wanted it to, but it brought me new ideas and let me stretch my artistic muscles.
Work-in-Progress
You will notice that there are a handful of unfinished panels below. A part of me was determined to finish every single panel of this first RX script, but after a while, knowing I was going to revamp my work for RX into something else, I decided to leave it as is. It’s okay to leave something unfinished.
The whole idea about the protagonist’s name being RX was to make a joke of people calling him “prescription” and he would have to tell them that it was the letters “R” and “X.” But that joke never panned out.
In the Beginning… There was a Question About Insurance
The original idea of RX was to be a parody of science fiction. What I am working on now reflects the comedy aspect of RX but isn’t a direct parody of bigger sci-fi franchises. Heck, this comic is all about toothaches and dental insurance. Not your common sci-fi trope, but a fun one to write about.
My Abandoned Comic
Anyway, that was too long of an introduction. So, without any further ado, please enjoy RX, my abandoned comic!

What Comes Next
What came next? Well, RX eventually joined the space rebellion and chose to fight against the Star Ascendancy he once served. Space adventures ensued filled with aliens, jokes, and visits to a restaurant called Star Taco (at least, that’s what I had in my head).
And what’s next for me? A new comic! The world of RX lives on… just a bit different. As the weeks and months go on, I hope to show you an in-depth look at this new story as I continue this creative pursuit of making a comic.
