This first writing sample is from my unpublished novel that helped me get my Master’s Degree! I’m immensely proud of this book. Though I am sure my skills have changed since writing this book, I still feel that this chapter shows my abilities to write a solid story.
Next up is the full script to an issue of an indie comic my buddy and I were working on! I am proud of this script for several reasons: First being that this is a great example of a script that was written through collaboration. I wrote all the words, but my buddy and I came up with the story and characters together. It was so fun to tackle this project and I hope we see more and more of these characters as the years go on!
Though the comic has not been developed from this script, a few pages were created! Below is the pages I drew for this comic book.

I have written about this indie web comic before, but I figured it would be good to include it with my other writing samples. This script is messier than the previous comic script in this list, but that’s because I was 100% writing and drawing this web comic.
There are a few differences between the script and the web comic, most notably, the beginning. The idea was to come back and add this scene in, but never did. Read more about my RX project and how it fell apart in my blog!

I also wanted to include samples–tastings, really–of what I’m slowly working on. In an ideal world, all of these would one day become finished projects–and that’s the goal–but I’m also happy showing these off even if they don’t get made or if they morph into something else entirely.
